Sharks Kill South Florida Kiteboarder

Sharks off Stuart Beach killed an experienced kiteboarder, according to the Palm Beach Post. Officials believe a group of great whites attacked 38-year-old Stephen Howard Schafer but they are still investigating.

The Miami Herald reports that “Carlos G. Bertonatti struck cyclist Christopher Lecanne with a silver Volkswagen Jetta on the Rickenbacker Causeway on (Jan. 17). Lecanne’s crushed bike was reportedly dragged for blocks before the driver was stopped by police in Key Biscayne.”
