People 7 and older can ride horses on the trails of Tree Tops Park in Davie on weekends. The guided rides cost $35 per hour or $25 per half hour, and start at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Call 954-370-3750 to confirm the schedule.

Pony rides are $1.50 for once around the circle or $5 for four times; weekday rides are available by appointment.

All horse and pony riders, as well as pony walkers, must wear closed-toe shoes.

Kids who are between 9 and 16 years old can learn about breeds and anatomy of horses; appropriate riding equipment, tack and general care of horses in show rings and on the trails; nutrition and feeding; and horse health care.

Also included are farm activities, indoor/outdoor games and watching videos.

The four-day session costs $300 per person. Registration is being held on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the park’s stables. A waiver of liability must be signed at time of registration.

People 13 and older can take a horseback ride while learning about plants and animals at Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek on May 2. The ride starts at 9 a.m. and costs $45 per person. Registration is accepted the morning of the event at the stables. For more information call 954-357-8720.
