SOUTH FLORIDA ADVENTURES INCREASES CIRCULATION 150%

“Readers Are Hungry For Our Content”

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Dec. 10, 2007) – South Florida Adventures, the only glossy magazine celebrating outdoor sports and health & fitness in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, is increasing its circulation to 25,000 copies and going monthly beginning in January 2008. From its launch in June 2005 until its November/December 2007 issue the magazine was bimonthly with a controlled circulation of 10,000 copies.

“Last month we announced we were increasing the circulation but now we’re happy to announce our increased frequency,” said editor and publisher David Raterman. “Magazine publishing is a tough business but we’ve been doing a good job with production and business keeps growing. Readers are hungry for our content.”

SFA has developed a passionate readership of local kayakers, runners, scuba divers, cyclists, hikers, triathletes, surfers and other hardcore and recreational athletes. Besides filling a niche in a market that teems with real estate, marine and fashion publications, its writers and photographers have contributed to National Geographic Adventure, Outside, Men’s Journal, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel and the Miami Herald. Each issue features stories by NBC 6 news anchor Julia Yarbough, a Miami Dolphins team physician and a University of Miami sports nutritionist.

In addition to providing stories on activities in South Floridians’ own backyard, SFA is the best vehicle for companies advertising their outdoor sports and health & fitness products. For the 150 percent increase in circulation, SFA is increasing ad rates only 40 percent and the increased frequency will enable more advertising agencies and larger companies to build campaigns around the magazine.

Coral Springs-based National Distribution Solutions will distribute SFA in 2008. National Distribution Solutions has a solid reputation and has delivered Dockwalk, Boat International USA, Triton, Go Riverwalk, TRAVELHOST (Miami and Fort Lauderdale) and other publications.

With the increased circulation, SFA will continue to be distributed in the three counties of South Florida. Half of the copies will continue going to gyms/fitness centers and the other half will continue going to bicycle, running, scuba, kayaking, surfing and similar sporting goods stores. The Marathon of the Palm Beaches requested 7,500 copies for runners Dec. 1-2 and The A1A Marathon (Fort Lauderdale) has requested 5,000 copies Feb. 15-16. Almost 400 people subscribe.
