About Us

SOUTH FLORIDA ADVENTURES MEDIA GROUP
Launched in June 2005, South Florida Adventures publishes an outdoor sports and fitness newsletter and website. In 2005 it also began publishing a glossy outdoor sports magazine with a controlled circulation of 10,000 copies distributed at gyms, sporting goods stores and select events in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. In January 2008 the magazine’s circulation increased to 25,000 copies. Despite its growth, which included the University Press of Florida in 2008 signing the company to publish the magazine as a book, and the South Florida Sun Sentinel Co. deciding to partner on a second fitness magazine, South Florida Adventures eventually stopped printing its magazine due to the recession.

THE WEBSITE
SouthFloridaAdventures.com publishes news on local outdoor sports and fitness and it has archived feature stories from the print magazine. The website averages 25,000 page views per month.

NEWSLETTER
SFA’s newsletter shares local outdoor sports and fitness news with 10,200 subscribers, with virtually everyone living in Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach.
