Fight For Air Climb Miami, April 17

South Florida Adventures has become a media sponsor of Fight for Air Climb Miami, the American Lung Association’s fund-raising event on Saturday, April 17.
The 55-story climb to the top of the Wachovia Financial Center in downtown Miami benefits the association’s mission to save lives.
According to organizers, “With lung disease on the rise, we are fighting for research that will find a cure for tomorrow. We are fighting for those who can’t quit smoking and those who shouldn’t start. We are fighting for lungs that burn from exercise rather than from ozone. We are fighting for asthma education to stop children from dying from asthma attacks. We are fighting for laws that improve air quality both inside and out.”
Climb Miami is professionally timed and ranked with start times every 30 seconds, giving participants an opportunity to compete against the clock.
The event begins at 8:30 a.m. The registration fee is $25 with a $100-fundraising minimum to participate. Climbers will receive the following:
- The official Fight for Air Climb Miami T-shirt
- A recognition medal at the finish line
- The opportunity to compete for trophies
- Food
- Live music at the Post Party in the Courtyard.
