Florida Department of Law Enforcement special agent James O. Born, who has published five Florida mystery novels, recently published a science fiction novel under the pen name James O’Neal.

The Human Disguise earned a starred review in Publishers Weekly. “This near-future page-turner debut amalgamates apocalyptic science fiction, police procedural and thematic dashes of alien invasion and vampire mythos,” PW states. “Fighting wars in Syria, Iraq and the Balkans, the U.S. is on the precipice of anarchy.
