The Great Loxahatchee River Race takes place on May 24. Registration and start of the race are at the Burt Reynolds Park in Jupiter. Paddlers can participate in one of three distances: short (one mile), medium (six miles) or long (14 miles).

Races are open to all canoes, kayaks and standup paddleboards. Cost is $5 for the race or $15 for the race and a BBQ lunch afterward. Proceeds are promised to the Loxahatchee River Center.
