Bicycle Month In Broward: Surfside Ride & 50 Other Events

From March 1 to March 30 the department is hosting events that promote bicycle safety, education and opportunities for all ages and abilities.
The Surfside Ride is a fun family event on Saturday, March 14. The 11-mile ride is through state and county parks and along beautiful Hollywood Beach. The bicycle safety check starts at 8 a.m. and the pedaling starts at 9 a.m. All participants must wear helmets, provide their own bicycles, and sign a waiver. Registration fees are $20 per family, $10 per individual and $5 per individual on a team of five or more. Proceeds benefit the Wildlife Care Center.
