The Profile Design Miami International Triathlon takes place in Miami on March 15. In addition to favorable weather, the event offers beautiful course views and a lively Latin influence.

The Olympic-distance MIT (1.5 K swim, 40 K bike and 10 K run) is on its way to becoming one of the largest triathlons in Florida, with 1,500 projected athletes and more than 3,000 participants. At the awards ceremony, $25,000 worth of prizes will be handed out.

Prior to and during the race, an expo is being held at race site.

The 2008 MIT had athletes from 20 different countries and included 30 professional triathletes.
